Biography Highlight
Wang Jianping, male, Han nationality, is a native of Zanhuang County, Hebei province. He was born in 1953 in Fushun City, Liaoning Province. In 1969, he joined the Army. In 1997, he was promoted to major general and to lieutenant general in 2007. Since July 30, 2012, he is General of People’s Armed Police (PAP). He served as deputy commander for one year before becoming Commander of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force in 2009. From 2014 to 2015, he was Deputy Secretary General, Headquarters of the General Staff, People’s Armed Police Force. In 2015, he became Deputy Secretary General of the Joint General Staff of the Central Military Commission. He was a member of 18th CPC Central Committee. In August 2016, he was taken away in Chengdu City and placed under investigation.
